Description

The trailhead for Gold Hill is located 4.8 miles up Bottle Bay Road just southeast of Sandpoint, Idaho.  Gold Hill is the knoll east of the Long Bridge as you are coming north into town.  We were all working in northern Idaho for the week, and since I had lived there for four years, I knew Gold Hill would be a good evening hike.  There is still a considerable amount of snow in the upper Selkirks so because of this and our limited time, we decided to hike Gold Hill for some exercise and the views of Sandpoint, Idaho.  After this, we went to Eichardt's for dinner and a pint of beer.
