Description

I took the day off and couldn't waste the clear morning forecast, so I went up to Loveland Pass and hiked Mount Sniktau.  I didn't leave Highlands Ranch, Colorado, that early, but was still back home by 11:30.  By 1:00 I noticed the clouds had rolled in and I was glad I decided against trying to make it to Grizzly Peak too.  This is a short hike that offered some good views of Grays Peak and Torreys Peak.  Although the skies were clear while I was up there, the wind was strong on the ridge.  I carried snow shoes, but they were not required.
