Description
I was able to get one more ice climb in at the end of April to close out the ice climbing season. I had been to Black Lake a number of times before either climbing West Gully, Spearhead, or the Trough Couloir. However, I had never made the hike in to climb Black Lake Slabs. Given the elevation, I assumed it would be in and the trip was really just to tick it off my to do list. It was a new area, but probably not something I would return to.
