Somewhat similar to Tonys Nightmare last weekend, Brian had never been up the Sherman Climb and it had been eight years since I climbed it. We were a bit undecided about doing the climb because of the driving distance, but ultimately went for it. We left Denver, Colorado, around 3:00 and made the long drive to Sherman, Colorado. You can view the route from close to the trailhead and the approach is short. I led the first two pitches to let Brian warm up for pitch 3 which is the crux. Once on top of pitch 3, we hiked up the drainage a bit farther and even completed the seldom climbed pitch 4 with Brian leading. The descent went smoothly and we were back on the road in the early afternoon.
