Description
I was working in Estes Park, Colorado, and thought I might have time to go for a quick hike after work. Lily Mountain is just south of town by Lily Lake. I forgot my gloves, but still managed to reach the summit without freezing my hands. The trail was well packed for about a mile and a half and then the going got a little more difficult. The summit ridge was more challenging with new snow, no trail, and a bit of scrambling without gloves. I ended up hiking out in the dark with a headlamp. I made it back to town to join my coworkers for a beer a Rock Cut Brewing Company.
