Description

I was pleasantly surprised by this hike in Roxborough State Park.  I will certainly return with my wife at some time.  The Carpenter Peak Trail is well maintained and takes you from the base of the park to Carpenter Peak.  The grade is fairly easy and the views of Denver, Colorado, and the surrounding area are great.  There is a $10 fee to enter the park, but I thought it was worth it.  It took me 55 minutes to make the summit and 35 minutes to return to the trailhead.
