Description
I hadn't been to the mountains in several months with the exception of some kayaking and mountain biking. I decided to go for a quick hike in the Mosquito Range and hike a low 13er. I actually drove up the night before and slept at the trailhead. I waited for the sun to come up as it was windy and cold and I didn't prepare very well for this hike. I started the morning off with all my gear on and maintained a slow pace to keep from overheating or getting too cold. I hiked the standard route up Pennsylvania Mountain, which was easy to follow class 1 hiking. I made the summit after 1 hour and 45 minutes and returned in 1 hour after a few minutes on the flat summit.
