Description
I was working in Estes Park, Colorado, for a couple of weeks, so I decided to try and take advantage of the location of my assignment. Oldman Mountain is kinda right in the middle of town on the west side. It is a pretty fun scramble right from the start with the most difficult portion right before the summit, which is actually quite large once you make it. It took me 20 minutes to get to the summit and 15 to get back down. It was a better workout than walking around Estes Lake. Certainly, short and sweet, but it was to a named peak, so I added it to my trip reports and peak list. From the east, the profile of the summit looks like an old man.
